The holidays are fast approaching and life is starting to get a little overwhelming. It wasn't supposed to. I mean what about ORGANIZEDCHRISTMAS.COM I did manage to get my front door painted but when I put the 4th coat on last night, it didn't go on smoothly. All the others did. I don't know what the problem is.
My front door
I will have to inspect it in the good light of day and decide if I need to sand it down. I am making Halloween costumes. Yes, I don't even celebrate Halloween and I am making costumes (live in dark cul-de-sac and haven't had trick or treaters in many years). I made a pumpkin leaf hat and collar over the weekend and have now started on the Queen Bee (same person, two events). I am fusing black stripes to her old yellow blouse. I made a sash last night but still have to print out, cut, and fuse the letters "her majesty" on to the sash. And then the real challenge, the wings.
Bee-shirt
And every couple of days I squeeze in some time for my Christmas projects. Now that's what I enjoy. But I am realizing that I should have started months ago. I wanted to make two of these.
Christmas project
It is almost ready for the hand stitching. Oh, and I read the book that is sitting on the top of it. I can hardly wait to get started on my next project. The pattern came the other day, I bought fabric on Saturday. Then I bought a big 48 bag box of tea to stain the fabric.
doll pattern
Sunday the YW President told me that the Bishop told her that since I am the stake pioneer trek clothing specialist anyway, I might as well be in charge of the clothing for our ward too. That really made me MAD. He didn't even tell me himself. Then I could have said NO, NO, HECK NO!!!!!! I do not have time to make 5 pioneer outfits.
