CALLIE'S HAPPY BIRTHDAY 8-23-08

My baby girl is 25. Callie's birthday was Saturday. We had lunch at Olive Garden with Erna and her girls. (the breadsticks are not peanut allergy safe). Afterward we came home and Callie took a nap, being she was tired from her night out at the ball game (see her blog). When she woke up we went to the Deseret Bookstore where she found herself 3 new books. I got one myself (the Holy Secret, two others had to go on my wish list) plus I found a CD with the entire writings of W. Cleon Skousen (thought I had struck gold). And of course (our tradition) we stopped at Bahama Bucks on Mesa Dr. and Southern. I however did NOT indulge and was quite proud of myself. Derril is reading for the first time the 'Prelude to Glory' series. I only had the first 4 volumes. BUT at the bookstore I found vols. 5,6, and 9 on sale for 2.99 each (hardback). I think I should check the other DB's to see if they have vols. 7 and 8 for the same great deal. On the way home we stopped at Best Buy, looked at cameras and then iPods. She got her first "walkman". They sure don't look like the old walkman's. We took pictures at the restaurant but she still has my camera so I will have to post pictures later.
