MEXICO and VIDEO GAMES 5-26-08

Our 3 day weekend began with a trip to Mexico to visit with Kyle and Ibis. Callie had gone up on Friday with Kyle. She didn't want to do a turn around trip, which is what Derril and I were going to do. There are different ways to do an out of town trip. You have 'Round Abouts' where you go for the day and turn right around the same day and come back. Then there is the 'Turn Around' where you spend the night before turning around to come home. Back to the story. Clayton decided he didn't want to go because we would have waited for him to get off work (he had to work on Saturday) and he didn't want to hit the road right after getting off work. So just Derril and I were going down together. We just puttered about for too long in the morning and didn't get off as early as we had intended. Then on the way out of town we decided to go to lunch at the Great China Buffet. We lost another hour doing that so we really didn't get on the road until about 12:45. Well, we finally get to Kyle's about 4 o'clock. He wasn't home. We only had to wait about 10 minutes though. They were at the grocery getting things to make dinner. Kyle prepared a dinner of fried potatoes, eggs, and steak while Ibis made me a lemon meringue pie. My only contribution was to whip the meringue.

Derril spent his holiday reading. I think whenever we go on holiday the only pics of Derril are of him reading a book.
War and Decision -a hard read
Everyone else spent the evening playing video games. First it was some kind of dancing game and then the guitar game. Personally I don't get it. But the kids really enjoy it.

Sunday we spent the morning on the internet (my fav). I tried and tried to find out where the new Phoenix Temple was to be built but without success. We had nachos for breakfast and then Kyle and Ibis headed off to church and we headed home. The line at the border crossing wasn't too back. Probably only 45 minutes.
