COLONIA JUAREZ 10-23-08

I am worried now that when I finish this little chapter, the rest of my life will pale in comparison. Derril's family have a house in Colonia Juarez. That is the city home. I don't know how long they have had this home, but a long long time. So after the ranch was turned over to the mafioso Hilven and Helen returned to Juarez to live. To this very day the struggle to keep property in Mexico is still a problem. And has been going on since 1918 (I think thats the right date). Which is the whole Poncho Villa thing. Derril has a cousin, Glen Whetten, and when Derril was in high school he remembers Glen's brother was shot and killed over the same kind of agrarian take over. Hilven's sister, Aunt Erma and her husband Uncle Ray (in their 90's) still live in their ranch home outside of Colonia Juarez. They no longer have the ranch, well they have title to it but the agrarians have fenced it off right up to Aunt Erma's front door. Aunt Erma and Uncle Ray haven't been to church together in over 10 years maybe 15. Someone always has to be in the house AT ALL TIMES or the agrarians will come in the house while they are not at home, take the house and won't let them have their house back. OH MY BOSS JUST CALLED AND I AM IN BED WITH WET HAIR AND IN MY UNDERWARE AND HAVE TO BE TO WORK IN 30 MINUTES to be continued........
