A MONTH LATER 8-27-08

Yesterday Kyle received another packet in the progression of Ibis visa. More paperwork, and more money. He had everything ready to go. So a big envelope and $70 later we are making progress. I think we have two more steps. The next step they will want $350 and then the final step is the visa interview. Since it only took a month between this step and the previous step I am hopeful that in 2 more months Ibis will be with us. What a thanksgiving that would be. Kyle and Ibis had to get an extension of her visa to Mexico. They did it there in San Luis on Monday. It was Ibis first experience with the corruption of Mexican officials. A tip was requested in order to do the "extensive" paperwork. She was appalled, as this is not a practice in Chile.
