I had a really really really good morning on Sunday with Clayton. I have been praying and praying how to get through to him. He is hardly ever home anymore (literally). Any way he actually came in and laid on my bed and I started up some idle chit chat. As usual he made a sarcastic remark about himself and I shook my head and said "you have no idea how special you are" and he said he wasn't. He let me read out loud to him his patriarchal blessing which is so beautiful that I cried several times while reading it to him. I think he felt something. He was the first one ready for church. He was very pleasant through out the rest of the day. Even when after church he went out to the parking lot and found that his car window had been broken out, the ignition busted up and his stereo gone. We were lucky that they were not able to steal the car. But we did have to get a tow home since we couldn't unlock the the steering wheel because of what the thief did.
Later that night when a friend called and wanted him to go out Clayton turned him down and stayed home. I hope it lasts a while. He did tell me that when he had his interview with the bishop on Wednesday night the Bishop told him he would have to wait to go on a mission because he had heard some rumors about some of Clayton's friends and that if Clayton was hanging around with these people than the rumors might be about him too. And he told Clayton that he needed to get rid of his friends. Knowing how Clayton reacts to things I now know why he didn't come home that night, or the next, or the next.
