3-24-08 Easter Sunday-we were going to go to Erna's for dinner but her father in law was taken to emergency at 4 in the am. Later that afternoon he was admitted to the hospital. So we had dinner at home and Adam came over. We had a good time visiting. Derril finally took courage and went to ask the Bishop what the problem was with Clayton's mission application and the Bishop told him that Clayton's photo was a cell phone photo and he couldn't down load it. Simple problem, so Derril comes home from church ready to get digital photos to give the Bishop when both Clayton and Callie say what, thats not true, Callie had taken the photos herself and Clay took the memory card from Callie's camera to the Bishop. So now it looks like Derril is going to get the same run around that Clayton has gotten. It is so frustrating. Clayton gave up two weeks ago and says the Bishop is never going to let him go on a mission. It is so sad that right at the age where a young man is so vulnerable there is nothing for them through the church. Clayton is no longer in the Young Men's program and sure doesn't fit in Elders Quorum even if an attempt was ever made to include him. So he is left floundering by himself. Once he was advanced to Elder it was like every one was through with him. This is the picture that he submitted to the Bishop.(we got it off the same memory card that Clayton took over for the Bishop )
